Harry has been a member of the IED since 2000 and he has been working in regeneration and economic development type activities since 1994.  In his career he has worked both in the UK and in various parts of the world, through International Development and has gained wide ranging experience in various sectors of regeneration and economic development from capital works through to job creation activities and social support.

He is now at a stage in his career where he feels he can make a valued contribution to the development of the profession and wants to help take forward the IED as a professional leader in the field.

In his working career Harry believes he is valued for his ability to think strategically, identify gaps in programme development and to develop policies and solutions to join-up diffused projects from a number of sectors.  He feels he can offer these abilities to the IED Council and work in partnership with the other directors.

Harry is driven by challenge and a desire to achieve results in a leadership and main support type role and in offering support to others to ensure that workloads are coordinated effectively and are focussed on delivery.  He places a strong emphasis on staff development, is an effective motivator and manager of staff, and has a record of assisting colleagues in developing their skills and competence.
