Graduate Economies in Britain - new report from Geoeconomics

This new report is a local and regional analysis of the ‘graduate economy’ in Britain. Its audience is economic development specialists working on the knowledge economy and its high skills and talent requirements.

UK universities are currently producing 400,000 graduates each year. Attracting and retaining these graduates is an emerging priority in economic development strategy in many areas of the country. The task is harder for local and regional economies that run a deficit in knowledge-driven businesses.

This report looks the case of the Yorkshire and Humber region and its constituent city-regions and local authority areas. However, its national analysis of the graduate-intensive knowledge economy is relevant to all areas of the country, and to the Sub National Review process.
